Here are some of the commonly asked questions about microwave therapy for warts.

We have been offering this service at Northside Podiatry since March 2019. Our practitioners have all completed training and have been approved to provide this treatment.

At Brisbane Wart Clinic we treat both common and plantar warts specifically on hands, elbows, knees and feet. If you have any further questions regarding this service, please contact us to discuss.

At BWC we are able to treat warts on elbows, hands, legs, knees and feet only.

The standard protocol for both common and plantar warts is 3 treatments over 8 weeks,
with a follow-up at 3 months if required. It varies greatly between individuals how quickly
warts respond to swift treatment. Factors affecting this include;

  • Age
  • Location of warts
  • Length time had warts
  • Severity infection
  • Immune response

Yes, you can carry on all normal daily activities after swift therapy. You are not required to wear any dressings or do any home treatment between sessions. Also, you will not experience any discomfort after treatment, so can have treatment and then continue day as normal.

Yes you can participate in normal sport or daily activities immediately after having Swift wart treatment.
No discomfort will be experienced post treatment. No dressings or topical treatments are required, so can get feet wet and shower with no fuss.

Is suitable and safe treatment for most children and adults. We do not treat women who are pregnant or trying to conceive. There are few other exceptions, which will be checked at your first appointment.
